Which clubs or societies would be of interest for me to join?

The world's largest society of herpetologists and amphibian and reptilian keepers is the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Herpetologie und Terrarienkunde e.V. (DGHT - German society for herpetology and terraria). It has a worldwide membership of more than 8000 and publishes several magazines: e.g. Salamandra and Elaphe and also includes several specialised working groups.
One of thes groups is the Arbeitsgemeinschaft (AG) Anuren der DGHT (Working group Anura of the DGHT). It has about 130 members and the main interest is Dendrobatidae (poison dart frogs).
Membership of a local aquatic club might also be worthwhile due to the frogs' totally aquatic way of life.
